Organised screening and records for CBSE schools

CBSE School Health Checkup for Students

CBSE affiliated schools are expected to look after student health and keep health records in order. Educure runs consented annual student health checkups, issues a health card for each child and keeps the summary records your school needs — while the medical decisions stay with doctors and families.

What CBSE schools usually need from a health checkup

CBSE affiliation and inspection processes ask schools to show care for student health, including a medical room or first-aid arrangement, health checkups and health records. The exact wording and expectations are set by the Board and can change, so schools should always confirm the current Affiliation Bye-Laws and circulars.

In practice, principals tell us they need three things: a checkup that is done properly, a record for each child, and a summary they can produce when asked. Our CBSE school health checkup is organised around those three outputs.

What the checkup covers

The scope is agreed with each school based on grades and time available. Doctors and trained staff carry out stations in a set order so classes move smoothly and teaching time is protected.

Screening points to children who may need a closer look. It is not a diagnosis, and every report says so.

  • Height, weight and BMI-for-age
  • General physical examination
  • Vision and dental screening
  • ENT and skin observations
  • Individual student health card
  • Class-wise summary for school leadership

Health cards and records for inspections

Each child receives a health card with the results of the checkup and any follow-up advice. The school receives an aggregate, class-wise summary rather than a list of named medical details, so privacy is protected while the school can still show that checkups happened.

Digital records make it easy to compare year on year and to find the follow-up list quickly. See our free CBSE school health checklist for the wider set of documents schools commonly keep.

Follow-up with parents

A checkup only helps if families act on it. Reports explain in plain language which findings need a visit to an eye specialist, dentist or paediatrician and why. Parents can ask questions through our team, and with the school's agreement the nurse or coordinator can track whether referrals were completed.

We combine the checkup with optional awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene and mental wellbeing so the visit supports learning, not only measurement.

Child Medical Checkup

A child medical checkup organised by the school is most useful when parents understand it before the day and know exactly what to do after it. Educure plans the consent, the screening and the follow-up so each family receives a clear report and every flagged concern has a next step.

School Clinic Services

A school clinic is the place a child goes when they feel unwell, get hurt or need a regular medicine during the day. Educure helps schools decide what their clinic should handle, staff it, equip it and keep proper records — with clear rules for when a child needs to go home or to hospital.

School Infirmary Services

A school infirmary should be easy to reach, private enough for a child to rest, clean, and stocked for the kind of care the school has agreed to provide. Educure helps schools plan a new medical room or review an existing one, and sets up a simple operating workflow for staff.

Student Medical Reports

A student medical report should tell a parent, in plain language, what was checked, what was found and what to do next. Educure's digital reports and health records are built around that goal, with access limited to the people who genuinely need it.

School Health and Safety Planning

Most school health emergencies are handled well when everyone already knows their role. Educure helps schools put together a practical health and safety plan — risk review, contacts, first-aid roles, drills, incident records and hospital referral arrangements — that staff can actually follow.

Sex Education and Adolescent Health Sessions

Children and teenagers will look for answers about their bodies and relationships. Educure helps schools make sure those answers come from trained professionals in a respectful, age-appropriate setting, with parents informed and the school's values respected.
