School health checkup cost in India: what schools actually pay in 2026

Quotes for a school health camp range from INR 50 to INR 500 per student. Here is what sits behind each number, and what a fair, complete quotation should include.

The price range, and why it is so wide

Ask five vendors for a school health checkup quotation and you will get five numbers that have almost nothing in common. A volunteer camp run by a local hospital as outreach may be free. A general physician with a weighing scale may charge INR 50 a child. A full multi-specialist screening with a dental surgeon, optometrist, growth charting and a digital report for every parent typically lands between INR 99 and INR 300. Premium packages with pathology tests, ECGs or spirometry can run past INR 500. The number itself tells you nothing until you know what is inside it.

What actually drives the cost

Four things move the price. The first is the number of specialists on campus: a general check by one doctor costs a fraction of a six-stream screening that includes dental, vision, ENT, nutrition, growth and a systemic exam. The second is reporting: a photocopied register is cheap, an individual digital report per child with referral advice is not, but it is the only format that satisfies CBSE record-keeping expectations and that parents actually read. The third is travel: schools outside a vendor's base city often pay outstation charges that can double a small quotation. The fourth is scale: a 2,000-student school gets a lower rate than a 200-student school because the team's fixed daily cost is spread wider.

Hidden charges to ask about before you sign

Ask whether GST is included or extra. Ask whether the price covers the school analytics report or only parent reports. Ask whether re-screening flagged children next term costs extra. Ask who pays for the tablets, consent forms and printing. Ask whether the vendor keeps the data or the school owns it, and what it costs to retrieve records in year three. A quotation that answers all five in writing is the one to trust.

What INR 99 per student covers with Educure

Our Complete Student Health Checkup is INR 99 per student per year across India. That covers height, weight, BMI and vitals with year-on-year growth tracking, vision screening with referral advice, dental charting by a dental surgeon, ENT, skin, posture and a systemic examination, an individual digital report for every parent within 24 hours, and a school-wide analytics dashboard. GST is shown separately, and there is no outstation charge in the twenty cities where we have local teams. Smaller schools in the same city are clubbed into one camp week so they get the same rate.

How to compare two quotations fairly

Put them side by side and count screening streams, count specialists, check the report format and check what happens to the flagged children. A INR 150 quotation with six streams and digital reports is cheaper than a INR 80 quotation with two streams and a paper register, because the second one will not pass an inspection and will not change a single child's health outcome. Request a quotation for your school and we will send a line-by-line inclusion list you can compare against anyone else's.
